What if I just want to attend the vendor fair?

There is not a separate admission fee for the vendor fair only. Admission to the vendor hall is included in your registration fee, which we depend upon to put on a quality conference for you and many others. Those who register have the opportunity to not only browse wonderful vendors, but enjoy great Catholic speakers, the Conference Mass, and many other features of the conference as well.

I am just thinking about homeschooling...
is this conference for me
or only for current homeschoolers?

Yes, this conference is for you! Even if your child(ren) are young, it is not too early for you to pray and discern if God is calling you to homeschool. Attending the conference will provide you with insight, ideas, resources, and support.

Is there any real value in attending both days?

There most certainly is. Friday attendees will enjoy lots of vendor shopping time (vendors will be open from 3:00 to 8:00pm!), two outstanding keynote speakers - Ginny Seuffert and Monsignor Dan Deutsch, and Special Entertainment! Since Saturday is the "big day" (with workshops), Friday is a great time to get your shopping started, leaving you more relaxed to take in the whole of the Saturday Conference. And again, you won't want to miss our dynamic Friday-night speakers!

Is food available?

Yes, full service will be available in the USF Dining Hall for Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, and Saturday dinner - all at very reasonable prices. This is especially convenient since having to leave the campus for food would take up a chunk of the time you could be enjoying the conference!

The catering will include hot and cold entrees, sides, full salad and dessert bars, and drinks. Choices will be available for those with special dietary needs, as well as vegetarian entrees and dishes. Meal ticket prices are per person per meal, and can be ordered in advance on your registration form (preferred method). Meal tickets will also be available at the Dining Hall entrance for walk-in registrants. Prices are as follows:

Friday dinner: $9/person
Saturday breakfast: $7/person
Saturday lunch: $8/person
Saturday dinner: $9/person

What about accommodations?

Rooms are available at special ILCHC rates at two nearby hotels. Visit the Accommodations page for more details. CALL TODAY TO RESERVE.

Why am I asked to make other arrangements
for my elementary-age children?

We would love to provide activities for elementary-age children during our conference, but due to space and time limitations and taping of speakers we ask that attendance by children be restricted to nursing babies and teens. Thank you for your understanding.

Will the sessions be audio-recorded?

The keynote sessions as well as all the workshops will be recorded (taped) by LCE Media (www.lcemedia.com) and will be available for sale at and after the conference. Therefore, if you have infants please sit near an exit so if the baby cries or gets disruptive you can quietly leave without disrupting the speaker or recording.

I am homeschooling my highschooler, but am not sure I should continue next year as they are fighting me to go to "regular school".
Would I get help from this conference,
and should I bring my teen along?

Yes! Your teen will benefit from participating in the great teen program planned, including adoration with Father Pablo Straub and a great Teen Track. He/she will also have the opportunity to meet other homeschooled teens (and graduates) who can affirm a positive attitude towards homeschooling high school for your son or daughter.

You also will be encouraged by many homeschool veterans, including some of our speakers who will provide insight from their experience with some of these same stuggles.
